Ingredients

Dry Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour, sifted Ensure the flour is sifted for best results.
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3/4 cup whole milk Can be substituted with almond or coconut milk.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For Glazing
  • 1 cup powdered sugar For glazing.
  • 2-3 tablespoons milk For glaze adjustment.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt. Whisk together until well blended.
  2. Pour in the melted butter, whole milk, and vanilla extract. Stir until just combined, ensuring not to overmix. The dough should be soft and slightly sticky.
  3. On a floured surface, turn out the dough and gently knead it a few times until it comes together. Roll out the dough to about 1/2 inch thickness. Cut out donuts with a donut cutter or two round cutters, placing them on a parchment paper-lined tray.
  4. Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
Cooking
  1. Place donuts in the air fryer basket in a single layer, being sure not to crowd them. Cook for about 5-6 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove and let cool slightly.
  2. While the donuts cool, whisk together the powdered sugar and milk in a separate bowl until smooth and the desired consistency is achieved.
  3. Dip the tops of the warm donuts into the glaze and allow excess to drip off. Place the glazed donuts on a cooling rack to set.
  4. Serve your Deliciously Glazed Air Fryer Donuts warm and enjoy!

Notes

Store leftover donuts in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days, refrigerate for up to a week, or freeze for a month. To reheat, pop them in the air fryer for about 2-3 minutes.
