Filling Preparation
- In a pan over medium heat, sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
- Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
- Season with soy sauce and a dash of sesame oil. Stir in chopped Thai basil and mix until wilted.
Roll Assembly
- Soak a rice paper wrapper in warm water for about 15 seconds or until just soft, then lay it flat on a clean surface.
- Place a lettuce leaf on the lower third of the wrapper. Add a spoonful of the cooked beef mixture, followed by a few slices of carrot and cucumber.
- Gently fold the bottom of the wrapper over the filling, then fold in the sides and roll up tightly, ensuring all filling is enclosed.
- Continue this process until all fillings are used.
Serving
- Pair these rolls with your favorite dipping sauce, such as a sweet chili sauce or soy sauce-based dip.
Notes
Store leftover rolls in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Serve cut in half and garnish with sesame seeds or additional basil for a delightful touch.
