  • 3 tbsp soy sauce For savory umami flavor.
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce To add a touch of sweetness.
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch Helps to thicken the sauce.

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced Because garlic is life!
  • 1 inch ginger, minced Adds a fantastic zing.
  • 2 green onions, chopped For garnish and a pop of color.

Cooking Ingredients
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil For sautéing the beef.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Cook the rice noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside. Drizzle with oil to prevent sticking.
  2. In a large pan or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the sliced beef, stirring constantly until browned and cooked through, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Toss in the minced garlic and ginger, cooking for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. In a small bowl, mix the soy sauce, hoisin sauce, and cornstarch with about 1/4 cup of water then pour this mixture into the pan with the cooked beef.
  6. Add the cooked noodles to the pan, tossing everything together until the noodles are coated in the sticky sauce.
  7. Remove from heat and serve immediately, garnishing with chopped green onions and sesame seeds if desired.

Notes

For optimal tenderness, slice the beef against the grain and as thinly as possible. Adjust sauce ingredients for sweeter or savorier flavor. Feel free to add bell peppers, broccoli, or snap peas for extra nutrition and color.
