Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to ensure even baking.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the peanut butter, sugar, egg, baking soda, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix until smooth and creamy.
  3. Using a tablespoon, scoop out the dough and roll it into balls, placing them onto a lined baking sheet with enough space for spreading.
  4. Flatten each ball with a fork to create a crisscross pattern.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes until the edges are golden.
  6. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.

Notes

For nut-free options, substitute peanut butter with sunflower seed butter. Ensure to store cookies in an airtight container for freshness.
