Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat, breaking it apart as it cooks. Season with salt and pepper. Cook until no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add the diced onion and sliced bell peppers to the skillet. Sauté for another 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are soft and tender.
- Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
- Reduce the heat to low, then add the cream cheese into the skillet. Allow it to melt, stirring to combine everything into a creamy filling.
- Spread the beef and veggie mixture into a greased baking dish. Top with shredded cheese evenly.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
- Remove from the oven, let it cool slightly, then garnish with fresh herbs if desired. Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the microwave for 1-2 minutes. Freezing portions for up to 3 months is also an option.
