Preparation
- In a mixing bowl, combine the honey, mustard, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to create a smooth marinade.
- Place the chicken breasts in a resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish. Pour the honey mustard mixture over the chicken and ensure it’s well coated. Marinate for at least 15 minutes.
Cooking
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
- Once the pan is hot, add the marinated chicken breasts. Cook for about 6-8 minutes on each side, or until the chicken is cooked through and no longer pink in the center.
- Drizzle any remaining marinade over the chicken during the last few minutes of cooking for extra flavor.
Serving
- Remove from heat, let it rest for a few minutes, and garnish with chopped fresh parsley, if desired. Serve immediately and enjoy the delicious flavor!
Notes
For a bolder flavor, let the chicken marinate for up to an hour in the refrigerator. If you prefer a thicker sauce, simmer the leftover marinade in the pan to reduce it further. You can also add seasonings or herbs for a unique twist. Make sure not to overcook the chicken to keep it juicy and tender. Store leftovers in an airtight container for 3-4 days.
