Ingredients
  

Cupcake Batter
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour Sifted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1.5 teaspoons baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter, softened Make sure it's at room temperature
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 0.5 cup milk Whole milk preferred
Topping
  • Colorful sprinkles For decoration
  • Your choice of frosting (such as buttercream or cream cheese frosting)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin pan with cupcake liners.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt. Whisk together until well-blended.
  3. In another bowl, beat the softened butter until creamy. Add the eggs one at a time and mix in the vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture alternately with the milk, starting and ending with the flour mixture. Mix until just combined.
  5. Spoon the batter into the prepared cupcake liners, filling each about 2/3 full.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  2. Once baked, allow the cupcakes to cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Decoration
  1. Once cool, frost the cupcakes with your choice of frosting and add colorful sprinkles generously.

Notes

For extra moisture, consider adding a tablespoon of sour cream to the batter. Experiment with different frosting flavors to match your celebration theme.
