Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin pan with cupcake liners.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt. Whisk together until well-blended.
- In another bowl, beat the softened butter until creamy. Add the eggs one at a time and mix in the vanilla extract.
- Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture alternately with the milk, starting and ending with the flour mixture. Mix until just combined.
- Spoon the batter into the prepared cupcake liners, filling each about 2/3 full.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Once baked, allow the cupcakes to cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Decoration
- Once cool, frost the cupcakes with your choice of frosting and add colorful sprinkles generously.
Notes
For extra moisture, consider adding a tablespoon of sour cream to the batter. Experiment with different frosting flavors to match your celebration theme.
