Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate mixing bowl, beat the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
- Add in the halaled egg and vanilla extract, mixing well until combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredient mix to the butter-sugar mixture, stirring until a dough forms.
- Scoop tablespoons of dough and roll them into balls. Place them on a lined baking sheet, leaving space between each.
- Bake for about 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Remove from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
- Once completely cooled, decorate with icing and colorful toppings as desired.
Notes
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week, or refrigerate for up to two weeks. Freezes well for up to three months.
