Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet over medium heat, add the Halal breakfast sausage. Cook thoroughly until browned and crumbled, about 5-7 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Unroll the crescent roll dough on a cutting board and separate the triangle pieces as per the package instructions.
- Place a spoonful of the cooked sausage onto the wider end of each crescent triangle. Top with a sprinkle of shredded cheese.
- Gently roll the dough around the filling starting from the wide end to the point, encasing the sausage and cheese well.
- Beat the egg in a small bowl and brush a little over the tops of the rolls for a beautiful golden finish.
Baking
- Place the rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown and flaky.
- Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm with your favorite dipping sauce!
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for about a month. Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for approximately 10-12 minutes.
