Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 4 pieces ripe tomatoes, diced Select the ripest tomatoes for best flavor.
  • 1 piece medium red onion, finely chopped
  • 0.5 cup fresh cilantro, chopped Fresh cilantro enhances the flavor.
  • 1 piece lime, juiced Use fresh lime juice for the best taste.
  • 1 piece jalapeño, seeds removed and minced Remove seeds for less heat, if desired.
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Method

Preparation
  1. Start by washing the tomatoes and cilantro thoroughly. Dice the tomatoes into small pieces, and finely chop the red onion. Remove the seeds from the jalapeño for less heat, if desired, and mince it finely.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the diced tomatoes, chopped onion, minced jalapeño, and cilantro.
  3. Squeeze fresh lime juice over the mixture, then add in the salt. Stir until everything is well combined.
  4. Give your salsa a taste! If you like it spicier, add more jalapeño. If you want more acidity, feel free to squeeze in an extra splash of lime juice.
  5. Let the salsa chill in the refrigerator for about 10 minutes to let the flavors meld together before serving.
