Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg (optional) for added flavor
Wet Ingredients
  • 3/4 cup buttermilk or yogurt
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 320°F (160°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and nutmeg until well combined.
  3. In another bowl, mix the buttermilk (or yogurt), egg, and vanilla extract together until smooth.
  4. Slowly stir the wet mixture into the bowl of dry ingredients, mixing gently until just combined.
  5. Lightly grease your donut pan or use a silicone mold.
  6. Spoon the batter into the donut mold, filling each section about halfway.
Cooking
  1. Place the mold in the air fryer basket and cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the donuts are golden brown.
  2. Carefully remove the donuts and let them cool slightly before enjoying.

Notes

For extra flavor, try adding spices like cinnamon or cardamom. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
