Ingredients

Dry Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar optional
Wet Ingredients
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil for brushing

Method

Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar (if using) until well combined.
  2. Gradually pour in the warm water while stirring the mixture with a wooden spoon or spatula until a dough forms.
  3. Lightly flour your work surface and turn out the dough. Knead it gently for about 5 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
  4. Shape the kneaded dough into a round or oval loaf, depending on your preference.
Cooking
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) while you prepare the loaf.
  2. Place the shaped dough in the air fryer basket and brush the top with olive oil for added flavor and a nice crust.
  3. Cook for about 15-18 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped.
  4. Once cooked, carefully remove the bread and let it cool on a wire rack for a few minutes before slicing.

Notes

The bread can be served warm with butter or olive oil, is versatile enough to pair with soups and salads, and can be sliced for sandwiches. Experiment with adding herbs or cheeses for different flavors. Maintain proper cooling time before slicing for best results.
