  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • ½ teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Optional Additions
  • 1 cup chocolate chips, nuts, or fresh fruit Add according to personal preference

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a muffin tin by lining it with paper liners or greasing it lightly.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Mix well to ensure the dry ingredients are evenly distributed.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Be careful not to over-mix; it's perfectly fine if there are a few lumps!
  5. Fold in your chosen additional delights like chocolate chips or fresh fruit to add a special twist to your muffins.
  6. Spoon the batter into the prepared muffin tin, filling each cup about two-thirds full.
Baking
  1. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  2. Remove from the oven and let them cool in the tin for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Don't over-mix the batter, use fresh ingredients for best results, and feel free to experiment with flavors by swapping in your favorites.
