Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a muffin tin by lining it with paper liners or greasing it lightly.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Mix well to ensure the dry ingredients are evenly distributed.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Be careful not to over-mix; it's perfectly fine if there are a few lumps!
- Fold in your chosen additional delights like chocolate chips or fresh fruit to add a special twist to your muffins.
- Spoon the batter into the prepared muffin tin, filling each cup about two-thirds full.
Baking
- Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Remove from the oven and let them cool in the tin for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Don't over-mix the batter, use fresh ingredients for best results, and feel free to experiment with flavors by swapping in your favorites.
