Preparation
- Open the can of cinnamon rolls and separate them. Roll each individual roll out gently with your hands or a rolling pin to flatten them.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, and vanilla extract until fully combined.
- Once the cinnamon rolls are flattened, roll them up again into tight cylinders. You can also spread a bit more cinnamon sugar filling before rolling, if desired!
Cooking
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add a little cooking spray or butter to coat.
- Dip each rolled cinnamon roll in the custard mixture, allowing excess to drip off.
- Place the roll-ups in the pan and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn golden brown and crispy. Make sure they are cooked through.
Serving
- Once done, transfer the roll-ups to a serving plate. Drizzle with maple syrup or sprinkle with powdered sugar for an extra sweet touch, and enjoy!
Notes
Ensure not to roll the cinnamon rolls too tightly; you want them to spin out evenly. Adjust the milk or egg ratio of the custard mixture according to your preference. Experiment with different toppings like fruits or nuts for added texture and flavor. Watch them closely as they cook to avoid burning.
