Ingredients
  

Vegetables
  • 1 cup fresh spinach, chopped Can be substituted with kale or Swiss chard.
  • 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped Sauté until translucent.
Dairy
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (like mozzarella or cheddar) Can experiment with different cheeses like feta.
Eggs
  • 4 large eggs
Spices
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • a pinch nutmeg (optional)
Oil
  • splash oil or cooking spray For sautéing.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium skillet over medium heat, add a splash of oil or cooking spray. Sauté the chopped onion for about 2-3 minutes until translucent. Add the chopped spinach and cook until wilted, about 2 more minutes. Remove from heat.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, pepper, and garlic powder until well combined.
  4. Stir in the sautéed spinach mixture and shredded cheese into the egg mixture until evenly distributed.
  5. Grease a pie dish or oven-safe skillet and pour the quiche mixture into it, spreading it out evenly.
Cooking
  1. Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the center is set and the edges are slightly golden.
  2. Allow it to cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Customize your quiche by adding different greens or cheeses. Spices like cayenne pepper or fresh herbs can enhance the flavor. Avoid overmixing to keep the quiche fluffy. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
