  • 1 cup cooked crab meat
  • 1 cup cooked shrimp, chopped
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 package mini phyllo pastry cups

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the crab meat, chopped shrimp, cheddar cheese, green onions, garlic powder, paprika, eggs, and milk. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Gently fold all the ingredients together until well combined, being careful to keep the crab and shrimp intact.
  4. Arrange the mini phyllo pastry cups on a baking tray. Using a spoon, carefully fill each cup with the crab and shrimp mixture until just about full.
  5. Place the tray in the preheated oven and bake for around 18-20 minutes or until the filling has set and the tops are golden.
  6. Remove from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before serving.
  7. These mini quiches can be enjoyed warm or at room temperature.

Notes

If you wish to maintain halal compliance, ensure to use halal-certified crab and shrimp. You can also switch out the cheese for a dairy-free option if needed. These mini quiches can be made ahead of time. Bake them in advance and simply reheat before serving. Avoid overfilling the cups.
