Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the crab meat, chopped shrimp, cheddar cheese, green onions, garlic powder, paprika, eggs, and milk. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Gently fold all the ingredients together until well combined, being careful to keep the crab and shrimp intact.
- Arrange the mini phyllo pastry cups on a baking tray. Using a spoon, carefully fill each cup with the crab and shrimp mixture until just about full.
- Place the tray in the preheated oven and bake for around 18-20 minutes or until the filling has set and the tops are golden.
- Remove from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before serving.
- These mini quiches can be enjoyed warm or at room temperature.
Notes
If you wish to maintain halal compliance, ensure to use halal-certified crab and shrimp. You can also switch out the cheese for a dairy-free option if needed. These mini quiches can be made ahead of time. Bake them in advance and simply reheat before serving. Avoid overfilling the cups.
