  • 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed Make sure to rinse and trim the ends.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil Used for coating the green beans.
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ cup parmesan cheese (optional) Add in the last 2 minutes of cooking if desired.

Preparation
  1. Start by rinsing your fresh green beans under cold water. Trim the ends to remove any tough bits.
  2. In a large bowl, toss the green beans with olive oil, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Make sure they are evenly coated.
  3. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (approximately 200°C).
Cooking
  1. Place the seasoned green beans in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for 10-12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
  2. If using parmesan cheese, add it in the last 2 minutes of cooking.
Serving
  1. Once the green beans are golden and crisp, remove them from the air fryer and serve immediately.

Notes

For substitutions, use nutritional yeast for a dairy-free option or add crushed red pepper flakes for spice. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for a month.
