Preparation
- Start by rinsing the rice and cutting the chicken into bite-sized pieces.
Layering in the Crockpot
- Place the chicken pieces at the bottom of the crockpot.
- Add the rinsed rice on top, followed by the broccoli florets.
Mixing the Sauce
- In a separate bowl, combine the chicken broth, cream of chicken soup, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Blend it well and pour it over the layered ingredients in the crockpot.
Cooking
- Set your crockpot on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
Adding Cheese
- About 15 minutes before serving, sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top and cover until melted and gooey.
Serving
- Stir everything together, and it’s ready to be plated and enjoyed!
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3-4 days in the refrigerator. To reheat, warm in the microwave or on the stove, adding chicken broth if needed. Freezable for up to three months.
