Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 4 pieces salmon fillets Fresh for best flavor
  • 1/4 cup honey For the glaze
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter Melted for sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced For flavor
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce Adds umami
  • Salt to taste Salt For seasoning
  • Pepper to taste Pepper For seasoning
  • 1 whole lemon, juiced For brightness
  • Fresh parsley for garnish Fresh parsley, chopped For garnish

Method

Preparation
  1. Start by gathering all your ingredients. Mince the garlic and chop the parsley so everything is ready to go.
  2. Season your salmon fillets with salt and pepper to taste. Set aside while you create the delicious sauce.
Cooking
  1. In a pan over medium heat, melt the butter. Once it’s bubbling, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant but not browned.
  2. Stir in the honey and soy sauce, then bring it to a simmer.
  3. Carefully place the salmon fillets into the pan, skin-side down. Spoon some of the honey garlic mixture over the fillets.
  4. Cook for 5-6 minutes without moving them. Then, using a spatula, gently flip the salmon and let it cook on the other side for another 5-6 minutes, basting it with the sauce.
  5. Just before removing the salmon from heat, squeeze fresh lemon juice over the top to brighten the flavors.
Serving
  1. Plate the salmon and drizzle any remaining sauce from the pan over the fillets. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve it warm with your choice of sides.

Notes

Always opt for fresh salmon fillets for the best flavor. Keep an eye on cooking times to avoid drying out the fish. Can substitute parsley for basil or cilantro if needed. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
