Preparation
- Plug in your Instant Pot and set it to ‘Sauté’ mode, heating for a couple of minutes.
- In a bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Coat each frozen chicken breast with the seasoning mixture.
- Pour the chicken broth or water into the pot.
Cooking
- Place the seasoned frozen chicken breasts into the pot without overcrowding.
- Close the lid and set the valve to the sealing position. Select ‘Pressure Cook’ for 10 minutes.
- Once cooking is complete, let the pressure naturally release for 5 minutes, then carefully switch the valve to release any remaining pressure.
- Remove the chicken from the pot and transfer to a baking sheet. Broil in the oven for 5-7 minutes until the tops are crisp and golden brown.
- Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before slicing. Serve in wraps, salads, or with your favorite sides.
Notes
To enhance flavors, consider adding dried herbs like oregano or Italian seasoning. Ensure internal temperature reaches 165°F for safety. If you have leftovers, store them in an airtight container; they last in the fridge for up to 4 days or can be frozen for up to 3 months. Reheat in the oven for the best crispness.
