Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Rinse asparagus thoroughly and trim the tough ends off the stalks.
- In a small bowl, combine minced garlic, olive oil, grated Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper. Mix until blended.
- Grab about 5-6 asparagus stalks, and if using, add a thin slice of halal turkey or chicken. Bundle them together and secure with a toothpick or kitchen twine.
- Dip each bundle into the garlic mixture, ensuring they’re evenly coated. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Baking
- Bake the bundles in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, until golden brown and crispy.
- Once done, transfer to a serving platter and add a sprinkle of fresh Parmesan if desired. Serve warm.
Notes
You can store the bundles in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat in an oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10 minutes.
