  • 1 large egg

Preparation
  1. Begin by heating oil in a deep pan over medium heat, ensuring about 1-2 inches of oil.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the melted butter, milk, and egg, whisking until well blended.
  3. In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, sugar, baking powder, ground cinnamon, and salt.
  4. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  5. Using your hands, form small balls of dough, about the size of a marble.
Cooking
  1. Drop the dough balls into the hot oil in batches. Fry until golden brown, approximately 3-4 minutes.
  2. Roll the warm donut bites in a cinnamon and sugar mixture immediately after removing from oil.
  3. Allow them to cool slightly before serving. Best enjoyed warm.

Notes

Tip: To keep Halal-friendly, substitute any milk with almond or soy milk. Ensure oil temperature is between 350°F to 375°F for optimal frying.
