Preparation
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with salt, pepper, and any desired spices. Be careful not to overmix the meat.
- Divide the meat into equal portions (about 1/4 pound each) and shape them into patties. Press a small indentation in the center of each patty.
- Preheat your air fryer to 370°F (185°C) for about 5 minutes.
Cooking
- Place the patties in the air fryer basket in a single layer and cook for about 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they reach desired doneness.
- If adding cheese, place a slice on each patty during the last minute of cooking to melt.
Serving
- Remove the burgers from the air fryer and assemble them in buns with your favorite toppings.

Notes
Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. To reheat, use the air fryer at the original cooking temperature for about 3-4 minutes.
