Preparation
- Rinse the Brussels sprouts under cold water, trim the ends, and slice them in half. Ensure they are roughly even in size for uniform cooking.
- In a large bowl, combine the halved Brussels sprouts with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Toss them well until they are evenly coated.
- Set your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) and preheat it for about 5 minutes.
Cooking
- Place the seasoned Brussels sprouts in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Set the timer for 15 minutes. Shake the basket halfway through to ensure they cook evenly.
- Keep an eye on them during the last few minutes of cooking—everyone’s air fryer can vary slightly.
Serving
- Once the Brussels sprouts are golden brown and crispy, remove them from the air fryer. Drizzle with lemon juice and top with freshly grated parmesan if desired. Enjoy hot and crispy!
Notes
For extra crunch, give the sprouts an additional 2-3 minutes in the air fryer, but watch carefully to avoid burning. Consider adding smoked paprika or chili flakes for an extra kick. Store leftovers in an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 3 days. Reheat in the air fryer at 350°F (175°C) for about 5 minutes.
