Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream Can substitute with half-and-half or coconut cream.
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes Adjust based on spice preference.
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Method

Preparation
  1. Rinse and pat dry the shrimp to ensure they sear rather than steam.
Cooking
  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  2. Add the shrimp to the skillet in a single layer. Season with salt and pepper. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque. Remove shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Reduce the heat and stir in the Parmesan cheese until it melts smoothly. Add the red pepper flakes.
  4. Toss the shrimp back into the sauce, ensuring they are well-coated. Let it simmer for another minute to meld the flavors together.
  5. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days; freeze up to 1 month. Reheat on low and add cream or broth to maintain texture.
