Ingredients

For the Pasta Bake
  • 12 oz. pasta (fusilli or penne)
  • 1 lb. steak (sirloin or flank)
  • 1 cup cream cheese
  • ½ cup buffalo sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese (shredded)
  • ½ cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large pot, bring water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, season the steak with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Cook to your preferred doneness (about 4-5 minutes per side for medium). Remove from the skillet, let it rest, and then cut into bite-sized pieces.
Making the Sauce
  1. In a large bowl, mix together the cream cheese, buffalo sauce, honey, and half of the cheddar cheese until smooth.
Combining
  1. In the bowl with the sauce, add the cooked pasta and steak. Stir until everything is well-coated.
Baking
  1. Transfer the pasta mixture to a baking dish. Top with the remaining cheddar cheese and panko breadcrumbs.
  2. Place in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes or until bubbly and golden on top.
  3. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Serving Suggestions
  1. To enhance the meal, consider serving with a crisp side salad, garlicky green beans, or a refreshing yogurt-based dip.

Notes

You can substitute steak with chicken or ground turkey. Undercook the pasta by a minute or two as it will continue cooking in the oven. Let the dish cool slightly before serving.
