Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup green or black olives, pitted and chopped
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise (or Greek yogurt for a healthier option) You can use Greek yogurt for a lighter option.
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: chopped fresh herbs (like parsley or dill) for added freshness

Method

Preparation
  1. Start by gathering all your ingredients, ensuring that your cream cheese is softened for easy mixing. Chop the olives and set them aside.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and mayonnaise (or Greek yogurt). Use a hand mixer or spatula to blend until smooth and fluffy.
  3. Stir in the chopped olives, lemon juice, garlic powder, onion powder, and season with salt and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.
  4. Give your spread a taste and adjust seasonings as necessary. If you enjoy a more robust flavor, feel free to add more olives or herbs!
  5. Transfer the spread to a serving bowl and let it chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving. This will allow the flavors to meld perfectly together.

Notes

Store any leftover Cream Cheese & Olive Spread in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days, or freeze for 2-3 months. Thaw in the refrigerator overnight before serving.
