Ingredients

Cream Cheese Base
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened Make sure cream cheese is at room temperature for easy mixing.
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
Fruit and Nuts
  • 1 cup fresh cranberries, chopped
  • Juice and zest of 1 orange orange
  • ½ cup chopped pecans Feel free to substitute with walnuts or add chocolate chips.

Method

Preparation
  1. Start by gathering all your ingredients. Make sure that the cream cheese is at room temperature for easy mixing. Chop the fresh cranberries and pecans and set them aside.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Using a hand mixer, beat until the mixture is smooth and fluffy.
  3. Gently fold in the chopped cranberries, orange juice, and orange zest into the cream cheese mixture. Take care not to overmix, as you want to keep some texture from the berries.
  4. Finally, fold in the chopped pecans until well-distributed throughout the creamy mixture.
  5. Transfer the mixture into a serving dish or individual cups. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours to allow the flavors to meld together.

Notes

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. For longer storage, freeze in individual portions and thaw in the refrigerator before serving.
