Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh or frozen shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 lb lump crabmeat
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 1/2 cup diced bell pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the diced onion, bell pepper, and garlic. Cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  • In a large bowl, combine the shrimp, crabmeat, sautéed vegetables, heavy cream, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix gently to avoid breaking up the crabmeat too much.
  • Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish. Sprinkle half of the shredded cheddar cheese on top.
  • In a separate bowl, mix the breadcrumbs with the remaining cheddar cheese. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the seafood.

Cooking

  • Place the casserole in the preheated oven and bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.
  • Allow it to cool for a few minutes before serving.
  • Enjoy this creamy, delicious casserole hot from the oven!
