- Begin by chopping the cabbage, dicing the potatoes, and dicing the onion. Mince the garlic, and set it aside.
Cooking
- In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sausage and cook until browned.
- Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the pot. Stir until the onion becomes translucent and fragrant, about 2-3 minutes.
- Incorporate the chopped cabbage and diced potatoes into the mix. Stir everything together until combined.
- Sprinkle in paprika, salt, and pepper, adjusting the quantities to suit your taste buds. Stir well to ensure the spices coat the vegetables evenly.
- Pour in enough water or broth to cover the contents of the pot. Bring it to a simmer, then cover with a lid and reduce the heat. Allow it to cook for 20-25 minutes, or until the potatoes and cabbage are tender.
- Once cooked through, taste and adjust seasoning if necessary. Serve hot, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.
