  • 4 pieces ripe peaches, halved and pitted Choose peaches that are ripe and slightly soft.
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted Melt the butter before mixing.
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar Can substitute with coconut sugar.
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon Add a pinch of nutmeg for extra flavor.
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional) Add for crunch.
  • 1 scoop vanilla ice cream (optional, for serving) Best served warm.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Slice the peaches in half and remove the pits. Place them cut-side up in a baking dish.
  3. In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon. If using nuts, mix them in too.
  4. Spoon the butter mixture generously over each peach half, ensuring they are well coated.
Baking
  1. Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the peaches are tender and the tops are bubbling and golden.
  2. Serve warm, optionally with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for 3-5 days in the fridge. Reheat in the oven at 350°F for about 10 minutes. Can freeze leftovers for up to 3 months.
