Method
Preparation
- In a mixing bowl, combine the sugar cookie mix, softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Stir until the mixture is well-blended and forms a dough.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for about 15-20 minutes.
Forming the Truffles
- Once chilled, use your hands to roll the dough into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter. Place each rolled ball on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Coating
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate chips in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth.
- Dip each dough ball into the melted chocolate, using a fork to let the excess drip off.
- Return the coated truffles to the baking sheet.
- Sprinkle with festive sprinkles while the chocolate is still wet.
Setting
- Allow the truffles to set at room temperature or refrigerate until the chocolate has hardened.
- Enjoy your holiday treat!
Notes
Chill the dough for easier handling and feel free to experiment with different flavors. Leftover truffles can be stored in the refrigerator for up to one week or frozen for three months.
