Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a standard muffin tin or line it with muffin liners.
Mixing
- In a large bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, mix melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and milk until smooth.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined; it's okay if the mixture is a little lumpy.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
Baking
- Fill each muffin cup about two-thirds full with batter.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow muffins to cool in pan for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
Notes
For a dairy-free option, use plant-based butter and non-dairy milk. Do not overmix the batter to avoid tough muffins.
