Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Whisk together until combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together the melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredient bowl and stir until just combined. Don’t overmix!
- Gently fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips.
- Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
Baking
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are set but the centers look slightly underbaked. They will firm up while cooling.
- Let the cookies cool on the pan for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For a delicious serving suggestion, try these cookies warm with vanilla ice cream or alongside a glass of cold milk. If you prefer thicker cookies, chill the dough before baking.
