Method
Preparation
- Season the cut chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- In a shallow bowl, mix the breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese. Dredge each chicken cutlet into the breadcrumb mixture, coating both sides thoroughly.
Cooking
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat with a drizzle of olive oil. Once hot, add the breaded chicken.
- Cook for about 5-6 minutes per side or until golden brown and cooked through. Take it off the heat and let it rest.
Assembly
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). On the bottom half of each slider bun, spread a spoonful of marinara sauce.
- Add a piece of the cooked chicken cutlet, top with more marinara, and finish with mozzarella cheese. Place the top half of the bun over the cheese.
Baking
- Transfer the sliders to a baking dish and bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes until the cheese is bubbling and golden.
Serving
- Sprinkle with fresh basil or parsley (if using) before serving.
Notes
To store leftovers, keep them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat at 350°F (175°C) for about 10 minutes.
