Ingredients

For the Chicken
  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breast Cut into small cutlets for easier cooking.
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning For that aromatic touch.
Breading and Toppings
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs Use seasoned breadcrumbs for extra flavor.
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese Adds that nutty flavor we all crave.
  • 1 cup marinara sauce Choose your favorite brand for convenience.
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese Go for whole milk mozzarella for creaminess.
  • 12 pieces slider buns You will need about 12 sliders.

Method

Preparation
  1. Season the cut chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  2. In a shallow bowl, mix the breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese. Dredge each chicken cutlet into the breadcrumb mixture, coating both sides thoroughly.
Cooking
  1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat with a drizzle of olive oil. Once hot, add the breaded chicken.
  2. Cook for about 5-6 minutes per side or until golden brown and cooked through. Take it off the heat and let it rest.
Assembly
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). On the bottom half of each slider bun, spread a spoonful of marinara sauce.
  2. Add a piece of the cooked chicken cutlet, top with more marinara, and finish with mozzarella cheese. Place the top half of the bun over the cheese.
Baking
  1. Transfer the sliders to a baking dish and bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes until the cheese is bubbling and golden.
Serving
  1. Sprinkle with fresh basil or parsley (if using) before serving.

Notes

To store leftovers, keep them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat at 350°F (175°C) for about 10 minutes.
