Ingredients
  

For the Chicken
  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup seasoned breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
For Assembly
  • 8 pieces slider buns preferably whole wheat or your choice
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Cut the chicken breasts into slider-sized pieces, ensuring they are roughly uniform for even cooking.
Bread the Chicken
  1. Set up a dredging station with three shallow bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with seasoned breadcrumbs. Coat each piece of chicken in flour, then dip it into the egg, and finally cover it with breadcrumbs, pressing gently to ensure they stick.
Bake the Chicken
  1. Place the breaded chicken pieces on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for about 15-20 minutes, or until they are golden brown and cooked thoroughly.
Prepare for Assembly
  1. While the chicken is baking, warm the marinara sauce in a small saucepan over low heat.
Assemble the Sliders
  1. Spread a spoonful of marinara sauce on each slider bun, then add a piece of crispy chicken, top it with shredded mozzarella cheese, and finish with another drizzle of marinara sauce.
Melt the Cheese
  1. Return the assembled sliders to the oven for an additional 5 minutes to melt the cheese.
Garnish and Serve
