Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 5 cups Rice Chex cereal
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup cherry-flavored or cream cheese-flavored frosting
  • 1/2 cup cherry bits (or dried cherries)

Method

Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, add your Rice Chex cereal. Set it aside as you prepare the coating.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the white chocolate chips and peanut butter. Heat them in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until everything is smooth and melted.
  3. Once melted, stir in the cherry-flavored frosting until completely combined.
  4. Pour the melted mixture over the Rice Chex, gently folding it to ensure every piece is evenly coated.
  5. In a separate container, mix the powdered sugar and cherry bits together. While the cereal is still warm, add the mixture, shaking it until the pieces are well-covered.
  6. Spread the puppy chow out on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Allow it to cool completely before serving.

Notes

Store your puppy chow in an airtight container to keep it fresh for up to a week at room temperature or freeze for up to three months. No need to reheat when ready to serve.
