For the fluff
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened Ensure it is at room temperature for the creamiest texture.
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream Whip until stiff peaks form.
For the topping
  • 1 can cherry pie filling (21 oz)

Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Use an electric mixer to beat the mixture until it's smooth and creamy, making sure there are no lumps.
  2. In a separate mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
  3. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture using a spatula until well combined.
  4. Transfer half of the fluff to a serving dish. Spread half of the cherry pie filling over this layer, then add the remaining fluff on top and finish with the remaining cherry pie filling.
  5. Cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld. Serve chilled.

Notes

For best results, refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving. This dessert can be stored for up to 3 days in the refrigerator. Avoid freezing as the texture may change. Consider using different pie fillings like blueberry or strawberry for variations.
