Cheesy Mashed Potato Puffs Recipe – Perfectly Fluffy and Delicious

These Cheesy Mashed Potato Puffs are a delightful twist on traditional mashed potatoes. Fluffy, golden, and packed with cheesy goodness, they make the perfect appetizer or side dish!

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups mashed potatoes fresh or leftover
  • 1 large egg lightly beaten
  • 1/3 cup milk or heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese or your favorite cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp chopped green onions or chives
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs optional, for extra texture

  • Muffin tin (12-cup)
  • Mixing bowl
  • Spoon or spatula
  • Non-stick spray

Method
 

  1. Step 1: Preheat the Oven
  2. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Spray a muffin tin with non-stick spray or grease lightly with butter.
  3. Step 2: Mix the Ingredients
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed potatoes, beaten egg, and milk. Stir until smooth.
  5. Add the cheddar cheese, Parmesan cheese, green onions, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  6. Step 3: Fill the Muffin Tin
  7. Spoon the potato mixture into the prepared muffin tin, filling each cup about 3/4 full.
  8. If using breadcrumbs, sprinkle a light layer on top of each puff for added crunch.
  9. Step 4: Bake
  10. Place the muffin tin in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the puffs are golden brown and slightly crispy on top.
  11. Step 5: Cool and Serve
  12. Let the puffs cool in the tin for 5 minutes before removing. Serve warm, garnished with extra chives or green onions if desired.
