Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease or line your baking pan with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt, and garlic powder (if using). Whisk until evenly mixed.
  • Pour in the milk and melted butter into the dry mixture. Stir gently until you have a thick, cohesive batter.
  • Fold in the shredded cheese, ensuring it's evenly distributed throughout the batter.
  • Pour the batter into your prepared baking pan. Spread it out evenly and bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until golden brown on top and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Let it cool for a few minutes in the pan, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.

Notes
