Ingredients

  • For the Fudge:
  • 2 cups white chocolate chips
  • 1 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup apple cider or apple juice
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp ground nutmeg
  • ½ cup caramel sauce store-bought or homemade
  • For the Apple Layer:
  • 1 cup dried apple chips or freeze-dried apple pieces chopped
  • ¼ cup apple jelly or apple preserves for drizzling

Equipment

  • 8x8-inch square baking dish
  • Parchment paper or cooking spray
  • Medium saucepan
  • Heatproof spatula or spoon
  • Knife (for chopping apple chips)

Method

  1. Step 1: Prepare the Baking Dish
  2. Line an 8x8-inch baking dish with parchment paper, allowing some overhang for easy removal of the fudge. Lightly grease the parchment paper with non-stick spray for easy cleanup.
  3. Step 2: Make the Fudge Base
  4. In a medium saucepan, melt the white chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and butter over medium heat. Stir constantly until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  5. Once melted, stir in the vanilla extract, apple cider (or apple juice), ground cinnamon, and nutmeg until well combined. This will give the fudge its signature fall flavors.
  6. Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the caramel sauce until fully incorporated. The caramel will add a rich, sweet note to the fudge.
  7. Step 3: Assemble the Fudge
  8. Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly with a spatula.
  9. Sprinkle the chopped dried apple chips or freeze-dried apple pieces over the top of the fudge, gently pressing them into the fudge for an even distribution.
  10. Drizzle the apple jelly or apple preserves over the fudge to add a beautiful finish and a bit of extra sweetness.
  11. Step 4: Chill and Set
  12. Place the fudge in the refrigerator for at least 2-3 hours, or until fully set. The fudge should be firm to the touch but still creamy when cut.
  13. Step 5: Slice and Serve
  14. Once the fudge has set, lift it out of the dish using the parchment paper.
  15. Slice it into small squares and enjoy this sweet, tangy autumn treat!
