Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cut the bread into large cubes.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, heavy cream, caramel sauce, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and brown sugar until well combined.
- Grease a baking dish with cooking spray.
- Layer half of the bread cubes in the dish, followed by half of the chopped apples, and pour half of the custard mixture over them. Repeat with remaining ingredients.
- Allow the mixture to soak for about 15 minutes.
Baking
- Place the dish in the oven and bake for 35-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the center has set.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Serving
- Top with whipped cream and extra caramel sauce as desired.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Freeze individual portions for longer storage (1-2 months). For reheating, use microwave or oven at 350°F (175°C).
