  • 1 cup heavy cream For the creamy Alfredo sauce.
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese For a rich flavor in the sauce.
  • 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning Adjust based on heat preference.
  • Salt and pepper to taste For seasoning.
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish) Adds freshness to the dish.

Method

Cooking the Pasta
  1. In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Sautéing the Sausage
  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced smoked sausage and sauté for 2-3 minutes, until browned.
Preparing the Alfredo Sauce
  1. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
  2. Pour in the heavy cream and turn down the heat to low. Gradually whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese, stirring constantly until the cheese has melted and the sauce is smooth.
  3. Add Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper to taste. Make sure the flavor is just right!
Combining
  1. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss everything together until the pasta is well coated in the creamy sauce.
Serving
  1. Remove from heat, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve warm!

Notes

Perfect the dish by keeping the Alfredo sauce on low heat to prevent curdling. Reserve some pasta water before draining; it can help achieve a silky texture if the sauce is too thick.
