Main Ingredients
  • 2 cups cooked pasta (your choice) Use your favorite type of pasta.
  • 1 lb chicken breast, cooked and diced Ensure it's Halal-friendly.
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese For topping.
  • 1 cup Cajun seasoning Make sure it is Halal-friendly.
  • 1/2 cup onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth Ensure it’s Halal-certified.
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped (for garnish) Add at the end for garnish.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large pan over medium heat, add a splash of oil and sauté the diced onions for about 3 minutes until translucent.
  3. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
  4. In the same pan, add the diced chicken and cream cheese, stirring to combine and allowing the cream cheese to melt.
  5. Sprinkle in the Cajun seasoning and mix well, then pour in the chicken broth, stirring until everything is creamy.
  6. Fold in the cooked pasta until fully coated in the sauce, adjusting salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish and sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top.
Baking
  1. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 15 minutes.
  2. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
Serving
  1. Garnish with chopped green onions and serve hot.

Notes

For Halal options, use Halal chicken broth and your preferred pasta. Always watch the baking time closely to achieve the perfect golden cheese.
