Ingredients
  

  • 12 ounces egg noodles or pasta of choice
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder optional
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese optional
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley chopped (for garnish)

Instructions
 

  • Cook the Pasta:
  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the noodles and cook according to the package instructions until al dente.
  • Drain:
  • Drain the cooked noodles in a colander, reserving about ½ cup of the pasta cooking water.
  • Butter the Noodles:
  • Return the noodles to the pot while still warm. Add the butter, stirring until it melts and coats the noodles evenly.
  • Season:
  • Mix in the garlic powder (if using), salt, and pepper. Add a splash of reserved pasta water if needed to help the butter coat the noodles smoothly.

  • Stir in the Parmesan cheese for a richer flavor.
