Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 medium-sized head medium-sized head of cauliflower, chopped into florets
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt (to taste)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Fresh cilantro or parsley for garnish (optional)

Method

Preparation
  1. Start by washing the cauliflower and chopping it into bite-sized florets. Set aside.
Cooking
  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter until it begins to foam.
  2. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant but not browned.
  3. Sprinkle in the ground cumin, coriander, turmeric, salt, and black pepper. Stir to combine, letting the spices infuse into the melted butter for about a minute.
  4. Add the cauliflower florets to the skillet and toss to coat. Cook for about 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cauliflower is tender but still has a slight crunch.
  5. Once cooked, remove from heat. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
  6. Garnish with fresh cilantro or parsley if desired, and serve immediately.

Notes

To elevate your Butter Cauliflower, consider adding red chili flakes for spice, exploring different herbs and spices, and ensuring the cauliflower is tender but still crisp. For a creamier texture, add a splash of cream or coconut milk.
