Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Mix the Dry Ingredients:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
Cut in the Butter:
Add the cold, diced butter to the dry ingredients. Use a pastry cutter or fork to cut the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Add the Milk:
Slowly pour in the milk, stirring gently until a dough forms. Be careful not to overmix, as this can make the biscuits dense.
Roll and Cut the Biscuits:
Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface. Gently knead it 2–3 times to bring it together, then roll it out to about 1/2-inch thickness. Use a biscuit cutter or a round glass to cut out biscuits.
Bake:
Place the biscuits on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them slightly apart. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown.
Brush with Butter (Optional):
For an extra buttery flavor, brush the tops of the warm biscuits with melted butter right after baking.
Serve and Enjoy:
Serve warm with your favorite toppings, such as honey, jam, or gravy.
