Buffalo Sauce Recipe
Make your own classic buffalo sauce at home with this easy recipe! Perfectly tangy, spicy, and buttery, it's great for wings, sandwiches, and more.
- 1/2 cup hot sauce like Frank’s RedHot
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon white vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper optional, for extra heat
- 1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- Pinch of salt
Melt the Butter:
In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the butter completely. Be careful not to let it brown.
Combine Ingredients:
Once the butter is melted, whisk in the hot sauce, white vinegar, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, and cayenne pepper (if using).
Heat Gently:
Cook the mixture over low heat for 2–3 minutes, whisking constantly. This allows the flavors to meld together without the butter separating.
Taste and Adjust:
Taste your buffalo sauce and add a pinch of salt or more cayenne pepper if desired for extra heat.
Cool and Use:
Remove the sauce from heat and let it cool slightly before using. Toss it with your favorite wings, drizzle it over fries, or serve as a dip!
