  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons water

Method

Preparation

Cooking
  1. In a large skillet, place the carrot sticks. Add water, cover, and cook over medium heat for about 5-7 minutes.
  2. After the carrots are tender, remove the lid, and stir in the brown sugar, butter, salt, and pepper.
  3. Cook for an additional 5-10 minutes on medium heat, stirring frequently to coat each carrot evenly.
Finishing Touch
  1. Once the carrots are fully glazed and the sugar has melted into a beautiful syrup, take them off the heat and serve warm.

Notes

If you have leftovers, store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in a skillet over low heat. For longer storage, freeze them for up to a month, best reheated in the microwave.
