Preparation
- In a sturdy glass or cocktail shaker, add the fresh blackberries and smash them until their juices are released using a muddler or the backside of a spoon.
- Pour in the fresh lime juice and tequila. Add the simple syrup to taste for sweetness.
- If using a shaker, fill it with ice, cover it, and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds. If mixing directly in a glass, add ice and stir gently to combine all ingredients.
- Fill a glass with ice and pour the blackberry mixture over it. Garnish with a lime slice and a few whole blackberries.
- Take a moment to admire your creation, then sip slowly and enjoy.
Notes
Best enjoyed immediately. If you have leftovers, store the mixture without ice in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours. Avoid making it ahead of time with ice included as it may dilute the flavor.
